A recent conversation in our house…

Names have been removed to protect the innocent:

Person A:   “Honey I’m cold”

Person B:    “What would make you feel warmer?”

Person A:    long pause….”a pony”

Person B:    a long sigh and eye roll…”Well my guess is your’re going to be cold quite a bit longer.”

Now I’m not taking sides here, that would be unfair, but look at the way person B phrased the question:  “what would make you feel warmer?”

Person A, (I’m just guessing here), took the idea of “feeling” to not only mean temperature but emotional feeling as well.  And wouldn’t a pony just make you feel all warm and tingly inside?  I’m just saying…;)

I’d like to also point out that person B is a bit more careful with the phrasing of questions since this incident and has even modified questions to person A with “what would you like, and don’t say pony!”

Needless to say there is no pony in our household…yet

  1. For what it’s worth, I would give you that pony. Pink. With glitter. But not glitter glue because it’s evil and ponies don’t like glue.
